This exotic couturier hat is an expert designer creation.  It is probably from France or maybe the USA.  It is a turban, genie style.  It can be worn as a sophisticated serious glamorous hat by the person who can carry it off.  It is also a possible idea for a costume.  Beautifully crafted in superb condition, it is of turquoise cotton, black lining over a shaped buckram, lined in black cotton, and hand sewn.  I would say it was made between 1920 and 1960.  It has hand painted gold designs on it.  No label, probably one of a kind.  It fits the average female head. Of course a man who is about that size would also look great in it.  It can be worn either direction in front.  Condition excellent, possibly never worn, but it is "Pre-owned".
