Aubergine Linen Vest.
I can't stress how difficult it is to get the exact fabric and in the exact color. You will not find this fabric anywhere in stores.
See below of our fabric compared to the original below, we cannot stress how hard it was to find the exact linen, let alone the exact color. All other vests you see are blue, which is inaccurate.

Over the last 3 years, we attended a lot of exhibits, museums& attractions, that had this particular screen used costume on display. We must've gathered over 100 photos of this particular piece, noting every pattern, color, fabric, design, & aging used.
Two years ago, we were going to offer a sparrow vest online, but we decided to hold on until we found the
EXACT LINEN
fabric used for the screen used vest. Little did we know, the search took almost two years.!!! But now the wait is finally over.
Our vest is made of 100% Linen, from the front and the back. The front of the vest is made with the exact
Aubergine Linen.
Yes,
Aubergine, NOT BLUE, NOT DARK BLUE, NOR LIGHT BLUE, but Aubergine.
Besides attending numerous exhibits, museums & attractions, where we were able to see & touch this vest up close to see the exact  fabric used; the folks who created the original costume also mentioned the color of this vest in their disney auction. This is a direct quote: "distressed aubergine linen vest"
There is absolutely no place anywhere that could offer you this exact vest with our discounted price.
We also used the correct sized buttons along the front and near the pockets, which were incredibly hard to find, most of the 18th century style buttons were either too big, or really small, we were lucky to find a batch of these after a gentleman in surrey, uk dropped us a kind note. =) We thank you
This is also a functional vest, meaning all the buttons work, including two working pockets like the original.
Absolutely no detail has been overlooked, we even went as far as actually distressing
the fabric to replicate the perfect weathering and aging for you, the holes of the buttons are also stitched exactly and matched as exact in color to the original as possible.
Again, this item is not for everyone, and is not a novelty item,  but rather a fine piece of art for the ones who want to be an EXACT jack sparrow.
