Solo show of the band of Aoyama Yagi counts the 11 times this year. I set aside every time the scraps of all of the band as your remember, before I knew it was now a considerable amount. While watching several of the box containing the scraps, luck I think to try side-by-side only once scraps, decided to open a solo show to choose the 100 points. Harmonia (Harmony), Machieru (material), polychromy (polychrome), nuance (subtle changes). This is a solo exhibition of the title that was held in my first to give Masako Ota who have introduced the Yagi's Gallery como. Although dyed cloth exhibition is not a band at that time was the main, is the same as a point also to pay attention to when you produce a band. This time, in conjunction with the exhibition, tried to make this little book. Last but not least, I would like to thank Kenji Aoyama Yagi Yagi's that he will hold a solo exhibition of the year band. This is the 11th year of my Obi exhibition at Aoyama Yagi. I have been keeping a small portion of all of the Obi cloth from every exhibition for my record and it has become a substantial amount. As I was looking at several boxes of these pieces of cloth, I decided to have an exhibition woth 100 pieces of cloth selected from these boxes. Harmonia, Matiere, Polychromie, Nuance. These were the title of my solo exhibitions at Masako Ota's Gallery como. She is the person who introduced me to Mr. Yagi. Those exhibitions were maily dyed cloth instead of Obi but when I make these materials I am attentive to these same concepts as if I were making Obi. This time, I decided to publish this little book. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Kenji Yagi of Aoyama Yagi who hosts my annual Obi exhibition.

1974 Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music Painting Department (Japanese painting major) graduation. Including the type dyed from a student, after graduation, Yoshida the yuzen Isamuyon, Takumi the indigo-denominated Sugawara, Yasuo Nakajima, Akio Tanaka, look at the engraving Tadokoro, also learn about the craft in general to Messrs. Shiro Naito. Gallery Furasato, TEORIYA, gallery COMO, Aoyama Yagi, Musee Minamishu, N the Gion Konishi, Ginzasakura shop, open a solo exhibition of the type dyed in the vessel rape blossoms, and the like. 1974 Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting (Japanese Painting). Started Katazome while still in the University. After graduation, studied: Yuzenzome with Yushi Yoshida; indigo with Takumi Sugawara, Yasuo Nakajima, Akio Tanaka, Katahori (Stencil) with Minoru Tadokoro; Studied ways of thinking about arts and crafts with Shiro Naito. Solo exhibitions of Katazome works at: Gallery Burari, Gallery COMO, Aoyama Yagi, TEORIYA, Musee Nanshu, Gion Konishi, Ginza Sakura Shop, Utsuwa Nanohana, etc.
